I remember having friends round when I was wee, playing 'Hair Doers' and Mums and Dads. The games you played then seem many moons ago and are now real life; we forget so much of how exciting it was at the age of 5.
Miss E has had a friend around this morning. So we set up a 'Salon' in the kitchen to do there nails each taking it in turn being the beautician and giggling quietly, just being girls.
It makes me smile how content they are, three stools, a towel and an up turned tray, oh I forgot the 'nail painter'!
Its time like these that were grateful for the imagination, the innocence and Nannie J's stash of jewellery.
'Children will not remember you for the material things you provided but for the feeling that you cherished them.'
